Feed & Nutrition
We try and feed our horses the most natural diet possible. They get grass hay twice a day, and we also added Alfalfa cubes to their diet. This provides more energy than grass hay alone, and is also a good substitute for hay, in case we encounter a hay shortage.
Our broodmares and horses up to 3 years of age also get fed Juniorglo twice a day. This is a grain designed by ADM nutrition to fit the horses’s sensitive digestion system better than traditional grains. It has a very high fat and fiber content without the suger and starch you normally find in sweet feed. Juniorglo provides Grostrong Minerals with vitamins and electrolytes and is also enhanced with direct fed microbials to boost foregut efficiency and Prosponse® brewers dried yeast, known to improve digestibility of forage components in the hindgut. The proprietary formula is beneficial for young, growing horses to synergistically accelerate the digestive process in the stomach and small intestine where maximum absorption takes place.

Our horses are kept on pasture all year long, they have adequate room to roam and graze in addition. However with the drought, there is not much grass to find these days.
